Seriously one of the best days ever

Today was brilliant. It was cold and cloudy, but the kids and I made the most of it. We started off with rasberry chocolate muffins, got dressed and headed to the dealership to pick up Mommy's new plates for the new ride. On the way, we stopped at Carter's who was having a major, major sale. I found Sawyer's "going home from the hospital" outfit, a birthday shirt for Tay & Thomas and a big brother and big sister shirt for them. It took twenty minutes to rack up a ton, but to mark things off my list while the kids played contently was a huge accomplishment and very relaxing. At the checkout, I looked up a coupon on my iphone and asked if they would accept the code. They did! Bonus!

After getting my plates, we headed to the jewelers to have my ring cleaned and inspected. I checked out some bling in the meantime. After that, we headed to RJ Goodies for lunch and dessert to celebrate Tay's birthday early. We sat by the fire enjoying our lunches and sweet goodies. It was so nice, but it also made me realize that these amazingly controlled moments are dwindling. Things will be so different once we throw an infant in to the mix.

On the way home from lunch, we decided to take a small detour at the little Hooks Airport to feed the ducks and watch the planes come and go. I just so happened to have an entire bag of bread heels for such an occasion. The ducks enjoyed their lunch, but think the kids enjoyed feeding them more. After the bread was gone, we took a little tour of the airport and were lucky enough to encounter a two-seater plane drive to his hanger right in front of our ride. The kids were thrilled and the day was complete.

We filled up the Chocolate Thunder for the first time since we purchased it almost two weeks ago. Score!

To sum up the day, we ended off with a trip to Peek a Baby for Sawyer's 30 week 4D ultrasound and topped it off with dinner with Daddy. It was a perfect day without crying, fits, fights, struggles, or mishaps (unless you count the two times at two separate venues a server tried to give my children their drinks in glass tumblers). I TREASURE these types of days!

29 Weeks Preggers- A little Family Photo Shoot with Sawyer

~January 8, 2010~

Today we had a little family photo session with the intent to take some belly shots of Sawyer. I never did this with Tay or Thomas except for the weekly progression photo in the same spot throughout the pregnancy (which we have failed to keep up with this time, so I guess this makes up for it). I'm not modest by any means. I just never had a strong desire to do these types of preggie pics with my other pregnancies. This may be my last pregnancy, so I decided to embrace the belly and let it all hang out.

My sweet friend Mary was totally on board and offered to do a session. We are not a studio photography family and enjoy the more candid, spontaneous pictures. Boy did she nail us! After taking over 1,000 pictures, she got some great stuff. She captured candid, spontaneous, beautiful, sweet, sad, romantic, loving, artistic, extremely silly and fun moments. I couldn't be happier with the results and the day was perfect.

The weather totally cooperated and gave us amazing light. The Mercer Arboretum gave us beautiful scenery and backdrops. Old Town Spring gave us the opportunity to regroup and eat while we spotted the perfect door to end the day in.

It was so hard to choose what to post and it took an entire day to go through the photos and get them all loaded. These are my favorites and I will cherish the memories of the day. We are so lucky to have had this opportunity and such a good friend to be so patient with us.

Poor Thomas got an ouchie almost right off the bat. First he fell, cried, and recovered. Then this happened about 20 minutes later. Somehow, he got hold of a really ouchie plant or something that gave him several splinters in two fingers. Daddy was able to get most of them out, but two larger ones were really lodged in there. After calming him down and giving him lots of love, Mommy asked him if he could be brave and let her take the rest out. He agreed he could be brave and let me dig in and yank them out. Then he blew them off of my finger and felt much better. Whatever the vicious needles were really stung, so he was much better once they were out of his skin. Daddy grabbed the first aid kit, wrapped up his finger, and we were back on track.

This is close to the top of my list of favorites. I absolutely LOVE how this turned out!
And these....amazing doesn't even come close to describing

My sweet little family. And now we are one more.
SO COOL!
Kind of Beetles-y

Resovoir Dogs shot. These boys are so serious.
I love, love, love these! We were eating at a little place in Old Town Spring when we noticed a few people setting up a shot for a newborn in front of this door. I HAD to have our picture here. It is so bright and colorful that I just couldn't pass it up. The people had moved on by the time were finished eating, so it was a perfect little impromptu opportunity.
